FAPS students celebrated the end of the first term with a Christmas Party on December 10, 2015. Students were all nicely clad in their cute outfits and party hats – some very jolly Christmas elves indeed. Each child present is of to a good start as everyone got presents and party bags for their grand send-off this season.

Christmas memories come year after year, but this year sharing those memories brought Mya Francois an early Christmas present. She is the proud runner-up (2nd Place) of the RCI Christmas Essay Competition on “Christmas Traditions in my Family”. The month of November was observed as Mathematics Month but it was so much more. It was also music month, a time for District One football matches and marathon and the observance of various ‘Weeks’ and ‘Days’ like International Science Day , Elimination of Violence Against Women Day, Education Week and many more. The Fond Assau Primary School (FAPS) did their best to observe some of those events.
The Fond Assau Primary School (FAPS) launched its breakfast program on October 19, 2015. This is in keeping with the Child-Friendly School (CFS) Framework, in an effort to care for the health needs of the students. The Breakfast Program will continue as long as the school continues to get the sponsorship needed to sustain the Program.
Schools need groups who support them consistently with the vital task of teaching morals, values and good wholesome christian attitudes. Seedlings is one such group. Their commitment and continuous good work is unquestionable. This year they performed at the Fond Assau Resource center on October 30, 2015. The F.A.P.S choir sung their way into the hearts of the audience gathered at the District One Music Festival today (Tuesday November 17, 2015). The Festival took place at the Gros Islet Secondary School auditorium from 10:00 a.m to 1:00 p.m . Their touching rendition of ‘I am the Earth’ sparked a standing ovation and was a wonderful experience for all the participants.
